Education

I received my BA from Graceland University (no connection to Elvis) in Lamoni, Iowa in May of 2008. During my time in the classroom, I earned my M.Ed. in School Counseling from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.

I am starting my thirteenth year in education. I spent five years teaching elementary music followed by five years teaching math and science in fourth grade.

I took the fall semester of 2018 off to have my daughter and returned in the spring of 2019 as a school counselor. I adored my time in the classroom, but I have found my calling as a school counselor. I'm looking forward to another wonderful year!
